Não tentando ser uma representação anatomicamente correta do maior osso do corpo humano, esta obra oferece pistas sobre o seu referente, enquanto tenta criar também novos conceitos a partir desta forma.

Este “osso” balança entre dois polos de aparente difícil equilíbrio, fazendo o percurso infinito entre ambos. Os volumes em cada extremo criam duas energias distintas na pedra, obrigando o observador a percorrer com o olhar de uma ponta à outra da lança, à procura do seu eixo gravitacional.

O osso é tudo aquilo que somos e seremos; é a estrutura invisível dos nossos corpos. Tal como a pedra, os ossos suportam o peso de tudo o que é tenro, de tudo o que é frágil. Neste caso, esta flecha com duas pontas, revela-nos a nossa própria existência - caminha desamparada entre as suas duas extremidades antagónicas, à procura de um destino em equilíbrio.

Not trying to be an anatomically correct representation of the largest bone in the human body, this work is obviously referencing it while also trying to create new concepts from this shape.

This “bone” swings between two poles of apparent difficult balance, making the infinite journey between both of them. The volumes at each end create two opposite energies in the marble, forcing the observer to look from one end of the spear to the other, searching for its gravitational axis.

The bone is everything we are and will be; it is the invisible structure of our bodies. Like stone, bones support the weight of everything that is tender, everything that is fragile. In this case, this double-headed arrow reveals us our own existence - it walks helplessly between its two antagonistic ends, searching for a balanced destiny.
