How to display a tapestry

Há muitas formas de expor uma tapeçaria.
Aqui ficam algumas dicas:

• Tapeçarias fixas em papel podem ser emolduradas numa moldura simples ou numa moldura de caixa para realçar todas as texturas. Podem ser depois penduradas na parede ou encostadas numa prateleira ou mesa;

• Tapeçarias presas a tubo/ramo podem ser penduradas na parede com dois pregos usando o tubo/ramo como suporte, ou passando um fio pelo tubo, usando-o para a pendurar com apenas um prego na parede;

• Tecidos feitos à mão que não estejam fixos em papel, nem presos a tubo/ramo podem ser emoldurados profissionalmente ao seu gosto para proteger a peça do pó. Estas tapeçarias podem também ser esticadas e pregadas diretamente na parede usando dois pregos;

• Tapeçarias sobre madeira são as mais fáceis de expor! Podem ser penduradas na parede, encostadas numa prateleira ou mesa ou simplesmente pousadas num móvel.

Here’s a few tips:

• Tapestries attached to paper can be framed in a simple frame or shadow box to enhance their rich textures. They can then be hung on the wall or leaned on a shelf or table;

• Wall hangings that come attached to a pipe/branch can be hung on the wall with two nails using the pipe/branch as support, or by running a thread through the pipe and hanging it with one nail on the wall;

• Handwoven cloths that are neither on paper nor attached to a pipe/branch can be professionally framed to your liking to protect the piece from dust. These tapestries can also be simply hung directly on the wall using two small nails;

• Tapestries on wood are the easiest to display! They can be hanging on the wall, leaning on a shelf or table, or simply resting on your favourite piece of furniture.
